You are welcome to pop in any time to have a look round - for consulting times please see above.

This is our spacious, light and airy new waiting area and reception. We have several seating areas are a comfortable place for our patients and owners to wait for their appointment. Scales are available to check your pet's weight.

Reception is staffed throughout the day. As well as registering for your appointment we can help with advice, pet products and food sales, dispensing prescriptions and general enquiries.

This is one of our three new consulting rooms - they are bright and spacious and this is where your pet will be examined by one of our veterinary surgeons

And behind the scenes, everything is "state of the art".

This area is called 'Clean Prep', and is the room where animals are prepared for investigations or surgery, and where anaesthetics and sedations are started. The first priority is to ensure the stability of the patient once anaesthesia or sedation is induced, at this stage monitoring equipment such as a respiratory monitor will be used. Patients needing surgery are clipped in Clean Prep before being moved into one of our two theatres.

This is area is based around a piped anaesthetic gas station, and from this leads off two theatres, an imaging area (for X-rays and ultrasound) as well as separate dog and cat recovery areas.

This is one of our operating suites - with piped anaesthetic gasses, monitoring equipment, surgical lighting and all the latest equipment.

All major surgical procedures are carried out in theatre. The strictest precautions are taken to minimise the possibility of infection during surgery. Theatre is disinfected daily; animals are clipped and cleaned in clean prep before sterile skin preparation in theatre. Vets 'scrub-up' to sterilise their hands before commencing surgery and sterile gloves and gowns are worn.

Beacon's Silloth Premises

Located on Station Rd on the way to the Docks and Golf Club, in the coastal town of Silloth, our branch practice is well set up to fulfill your consultation and sales requirements, from 1.30-2.30pm every weekday.  Recently renovated it now offers the same high levels of service and care that Aspatria does.

We intend to extend our service further to meet the growing needs of our clients in Silloth, and value any opinions you can offer in improving our branch practice. Two of our vets reside near to Silloth, so we often chose to see local residents or holiday-makers after-hours calls at the Silloth premise to save them travelling, where possible.
